Nicholas Sparks has taken to Twitter to congratulate Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus on their sneaky Christmas wedding, which honestly is the least the man can do considering he’s the reason why they met way back in 2009.

The man behind huge YA romantic dramas like The Notebook, A Walk To Remember, and Dear John has yet another successful love story to add to his CV, after Miley and Liam tied the knot on the most romantic day of the year.
The pair met on the set of The Last Song, which is an adaptation of one of Sparks’ iconic sickly sweet teen-romance novels.
This makes me so happy. Congratulations @MileyCyrus and @LiamHemsworth. #TheLastSong https://t.co/LX8C4IVOGF

The man got Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling shacked up, had Mandy Moore develop a crush on Shane West, and he managed to get these two to tie the knot. Not a bad strike rate, if you ask me.
Folks on Twitter have been thanking Nick Sparks for his matchmaking skills, and tbh, same.
They’re together because of you man!????????♥️????✨ pic.twitter.com/YGGJTfNlH9

If it’s been a hot minute since you’ve seen The Last Song, refresh your memory with the trailer below, and please marvel at 16-year-old Miley’s incredibly late-00’s mildly-emo eyeliner game.

She’s an angsty vegetarian teen! Reading a book and brooding on a beach lounge! He shows his affection by writing “forever” on the toes of her Chuck Taylors (be still my beating emo heart!) It’s a god damned match made in heaven.
I guess if you want to find your next boyfriend/girlfriend/partner, get yourself into a Nick Sparks movie stat.
