New Details On Bill Cosby’s Affairs Deepen Extent Of Alleged Sexual Abuse

Following on from allegations obtained by Associated Press last month, reports on alleged sexual abuse by 78-year-old actor Bill Cosby has thickened today, as The New York Times obtained transcripts from a deposition where Cosby admitted to giving Quaaludes to “at least one” woman and then engaging in sex, revealing the “calculated” nature of Cosby’s alleged misconduct.

The explosive transcript, released after years of being suppressed, quotes Cosby’s approach to visual cues on sexual consent. “I think I’m a pretty decent reader of people and their emotions in these romantic sexual things, whatever you want to call them.”

New York Times reveals that Bill Cosby paid the education fees of and engaged in an affair with Andrea Constand for some years, before allegedly drugging and molesting her in her own home. Cosby denied the allegations, saying, “I think Andrea is a liar and I know she’s a liar because I was there.” The deposition also notes Cosby paid women after having sex, and went to great lengths to conceal affairs from his wife.

In Andrea Constand’s case against Bill Cosby, 13 other women have also provided support and statements alleging further abuse by the actor.

At present, Bill Cosby has not faced any charges for his alleged history of abuse and sexual misconduct.
