Musicians Pay Tribute To “Inspirational” Rock And Roll Legend Tom Petty

Earlier today, rock legend Tom Petty was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious and in cardiac arrest at his Malibu home.

While earlier reports indicated that the Los Angeles Police Department had confirmed the 66-year-old’s death, that appears to be false.

TMZ reports that while “the singer is not expected to live much longer … at this time, he’s still clinging to life.”

It’s understood that the family has a do not resuscitate order.

The singer, best known for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers but also for folk supergroup The Travelling Wilburys (with Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, and the late George Harrison and Roy Orbison), was influential beyond words, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.

Due to earlier reports of his death, tributes are already flowing from fans and fellow musicians alike.
