Microsoft May Finally Be Killing Internet Explorer

Mainstay of many an office intranet and bane of everyone else’s existence Internet Explorer is approaching its 20 year anniversary in 2015. But if insiders are to be believed, the beleaguered browser may not make it that far.

Reports are starting to circulate that Microsoft will not be updating or including Internet Explorer (which, to be fair, is still on a lot of bloody computers around the world because older versions still abound) for Windows 10. The new browser is rumoured to be called ‘Spartan’, which hopefully means lots of leather sandals and epic battles in the bookmarks bar.
Or you know, they could just pre-install it with Chrome. That seems likely.
We’d include our favourite IE moments here, but we don’t have any.
