Melbourne Strip Club Finally Breaks Silence Over Tragic Death Of Dancer

Dreams Gentlemen’s Club, where 29-year-old Stacey Tierney was found dead late last year, have finally released a statement about the tragic incident.

“The Owners, staff and management of Dreams Gentlemen’s Club extend their sincere sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Stacey Tierney, who recently passed away,” the club said in a statement provided to PEDESTRIAN.TV, as well as posted on its Facebook page.

“We will continue to co-operate with and assist Victoria Police with their ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Stacey’s death, however, until such time as all the facts are known and the Police investigation has concluded, we are unable to make any further comment or statements in relation to this matter.”

The club had come under criticism for failing to acknowledge Tierney’s death after news broke on Monday, despite continuing to advertise for its ‘Sexy Poker Tuesdays’ on Facebook.

“Putting your reputation and appearance over the value of that young woman’s life?” wrote one Facebook user on the club’s page. “I’m disgusted that you haven’t even acknowledged what has happened, shame on you.”

The British-born dancer and fitness instructor, who’d moved to Australia three years ago, is believed to have been partying in the club Sunday night while it was closed. Her body was not discovered for up to 12 hours later.

Detectives from Victoria Police‘s crime squad are working to discover how Tierney died, although results from the toxicology report may take up to six weeks to come back.
