Mel Gibson To Sue Over Claims He Abused Daily Telegraph Photographer

Mel Gibson is planning to sue The Daily Telegraph for defamation, over the claims he ‘shoved and abused’ Newscorp photographer Kristi Miller

The alleged altercation happened around 2 weeks ago outside Paddington’s Verona Cinema in Sydney, with Miller claiming the enraged actor shoved her, verbally assaulted her, and sprayed her in saliva. Gibson’s lawyer, Chris Murphy, said today that police could not find any evidence of these claims and would not be taking any action against his client.
“Police have completed a thorough investigation of allegations made by a Sydney photographer and have concluded there is no evidence to substantiate any charge against my client Mel Gibson.”
A statement from Gibson’s agent in Los Angeles, Alan Nierob, read as follows:
“Mel Gibson has totally denied from the onset that these disgraceful allegations were true. He is now satisfied that the police, after speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence, have found there is no substance to the claim. The story is a complete fabrication of the truth as stated previously.”
Gibson has now employed the services of top Sydney defamation lawyer Mark O’Brien, and intends to begin a defamation case against The Daily Telegraph immediately .
