Today is October 22nd, 2017.
I remind you of this date because you’ll want to mark it in your diaries forever. Maybe this time next year you’ll plan a little celebration. Nothing fancy, just a few mates and a bottle of something sparkling as you gather round to rewatch the greatest video in history.
You see, there’s a clip going around right now that is absolutely worthy of that commemoration, taken from the same-sex marriage forum in NSW today.
It shows Mark Latham sitting back down in his chair and falling backwards off stage, taking Lyle Shelton and Miranda Devine down with him. It is a gift.
tfw you just wanna spread some bigotry but you had a few too many Sunday sippers at brunch @RealMarkLatham pic.twitter.com/lhOgqMVmO4

It’s enough to make you feel all tingly in your naughty bits.
Want to see it ten more times in a row?

The ironing is just so damn delicious, guys. Lip-smackingly delicious.
Much like their argument against #MarriageEquality, Mark Latham, Miranda Devine and Lyle Shelton collapse pretty easily.

Honestly, that’s it. That’s the whole story. Mark Latham fell off his chair and took his fellow members of the goon squad down with him.
Sadly, the ‘Yes’ side narrowly lost the debate with 35 votes to 37, according to Sky News, but things do get a bit tricky when one side likes to peddle in lies and scaremongering. Ho hum.
