Like the changing seasons on the tropical paradise of Fiji, love too must change with the times. And as Bachelor In Paradise quickly descends into what is quite blatantly the non-peak period wet season, once lovebirds Luke McLeod and Lisa Hyde have already called it quits.
Last night, the couple made the shock decision to leave the island / endless booze parade to try and make it work in the ‘real’ world. Potentially they were also leaving to escape the awkwardness of flaunting a relationship in front of Michael, who Hail Mary’d his rose to Lisa and was rejected again within days.
But within a few short months of dating after the show, the couple has already called it quits.
“Since leaving the show, we did date for several months,” Lisa told Now To Love. “We got to know each other, we spend a lot of time together, and we’ve recently broken up. Unfortunately the trust was lost, and I respect myself a little bit too much to let somebody walk all over me like that, so we separated.”
“There was some trust broken between us…. I take responsibility for that,” Luke told the Daily Telegraph. “That was hard to deal with. Unfortunately some things happen which are out of your control. Once the trust is broken it is really hard to come back.”
If all of this is sounding like CHEATING and like maybe Luke CHEATED on her in a CHEATING scandal, then you’d be 100% correct.
A source close to the couple told the Daily Telegraph that Luke hooked up with a teenager on a boys night out. “He was out with the lads and hooked up with a 19-year-old,” the person said. “He is in his mid ’30s and he is still making stupid decisions like this.”
He also took to his Instagram stories to address the stories coming out today, apologising to everyone hurt by his actions.
“I don’t want to get into a debate around ‘he said, she said’, for all the different reason as to why things broke down,” he said to the camera, looking forlorn.
“First of all, I stuffed up. And I’m sorry. I feel like I’ve let a lot of people down. My friends and family, obviously all you guys [the fans], and obviously Lisa.
“I hope that you guys can understand somehow on top of pressures that these situations can cause, that we all make mistakes.”
