‘Home And Away’ Actress Jessica Falkholt Has Life Support Turned Off

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has had her life support turned off, almost three weeks after a horrific Boxing Day car crash that killed her parents and sister.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the 29-year-old had her life support turned off one day after the funeral for her parents Lars, 69, Vivian, 60, and sister Annabelle, 21.

Earlier today there was some confusion, the official Home and Away social media accounts paying tribute to “beautiful Jess” online, but the actress remains in a critical condition.

Both Lars and Vivian died instantly in the Boxing Day crash, when the family was travelling back to Sydney after a short Christmas break. Bystanders managed to pull Jessica and Annabelle from the crash before the car burst into flames, but Annabelle died three days later in Liverpool Hospital.

At the funeral for Lars, Vivian and Annabelle, held Thursday, Vivian’s brother Paul thanked emergency services and the bystanders who rushed to help.

“Their lives ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense,” he said. “We take little comfort in knowing that they are together and always will be.”

The Daily Telegraph revealed that the driver of the other car involved, 50-year-old Craig Whitall, who also died in the crash, was a serial offender who had nine convictions for driving without a license, and had used dozens of aliases to avoid detection from the police.
