Instababe Outs Male Model Who Proposed A Fake Relationship For Followers

Sooooo, that gal who quit social media is saying more stuff on social media.

But fear not, interested readers (we’re assuming you’re interested, because ya’ll sure are clicking on these stories an awful lot) for Essena still has a functioning Vimeo account.
Her latest video claims that an unnamed male supermodel approached her via her Instagram, and propositioned that they enter into a fake relationship in order to gain more followers, money, travel and boats made of 72-carat gold and whatever else it is that Instagram-famous people get these days.
She says that she stayed up one night speaking to and ‘taking selfies for him’ () before he put forward the offer of a fake relationship:
“He made it obvious he really wanted to pursue an online relationship. He thought that it would go crazy. He referred to other couples that had been doing it. He said we’d have all this free travel, that if we became a couple we’d both bump up our followers. We could make YouTube videos and make heaps of money.

“He referred to a lot of people who were doing just that. And he said in the industry it is not unheard of to do this, that it is actually really smart and that I should think about it as a business proposal.”
Essena is releasing a series of videos – she should really be saying that she ‘rearranged’ her social media, she didn’t ‘quit’ it, right? – where she’ll look at random photos from her past Insta-fame and do an ‘ad-lib’ voiceover explaining what was actually happening in those photos.
So, here is a pattern that seems to be forming:
