Iconic Sculptor Anish Kapoor To Exhibit In Australia

The sculptural work of Anish Kapoor will be exhibited at The Museum of Contemporary Art this summer, on display from 20 December 2012 to 1 April 2013. The exhibition will be housed across two levels of the revamped gallery as part of the Sydney International Art Series. This is the first major presentation of the Mumbai-born, London-based artist’s work in Australia.

Reknowned for his experimentation with materials like clay, plastic, steel and wax, the exhibition will feature Kapoor’s recent work as well as those which date back to the early days of his career. One of his most ambitious pieces, a huge rust-coloured structure entitled Memory (2008) will be installed in MCA’s Level 3 gallery, filling the space in its entirety.

Tickets for the exhibition are on sale now from the MCA website.
