Over 100 firefighters are battling a fire in Revesby that’s threatening to damage homes in the south-western Sydney suburb.
Residents along Gallipolli and Jellicoe streets have been told to leave their homes, with burning car wrecks threatening to cause explosions and thick smoke blanketing businesses.

Yowza.
Emergency crews say they were called just after 11am to an industrial fire at GMS Spares on Mavis St. Two people suffering minor burns and smoke inhalation were hospitalised.
Since midday, the fire has been burning out of control, and toxic fumes from the burning wrecks present potential hazard to anyone nearby. For real, look at the size of that smoke plume:

Luckily the wind’s blowing it east, across an industrial lot, but that still ain’t gonna make it easy for emergency services on deck.
Road closures are ongoing with drivers urged to avoid the area. It looks like this one might just burn for a while.
