Here’s Where You Can Go To Pay Your Respects To Those Lost In Orlando

The shooting that killed 50 and injured 53 in a night club in Orlando, Florida has made a huge impact around the world, not just for the overwhelming loss of life, but also for how it has reminded the world that the LGBTQI community still faces very real persecution today.
If, like a lot of people, you’re hurting and you’re not quite sure what to do about it, or you just want to pay your respects, here’s a list of the vigils being held tonight:
In Sydney there are two being held tonight, one at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre from 7.30pm and one at Taylor Square that kicked off 6. 
There will be other vigils held in NSW, with Wollongong will be hosting one tomorrow night at St Therese Catholic School at 7pm, the University of Newcastle is hosting one on June 16th at 6pm and a midday vigil will be held in Albury on the 18th
A vigil was held in Melbourne‘s Fitzroy this afternoon, and another will be held in Daylesford at the Daylesford Hotel on June 19th from 6pm.
In Brisbane, a vigil will be held at Reddacliff Place tomorrow night from 6pm to 7:30pm, a vigil will be held at the same time in Cairns at the Paradiso Cairns Cafe. Jezzine Barracks in Townsville will host a vigil on June 19th from 5:30pm.
In Adelaide there is a vigil being held from 6pm both tonight and on June 18th at Elder Park.
Those in Perth can go to Perth Cultural Centre on June 15th at 6:30pm, if you’re in Darwin you can go to Darwin City Civic Park between 6 and 7 tonight, and lastly those in the nation’s capital can head outside the ACT Legislative Assembly from 6.
