Help VIC Police Find The Shithead Who Pissed On A Woman At A Spiderbait Gig

JFC.
A Victorian woman called Belle Nolan has bravely spoken out about a horrifying incident that occurred at a live gig in Melbourne – a stranger urinating on her.
In February this year, the 33-year-old went to go see iconic Aussie band Spiderbait at 170 Russell in Melbourne‘s CBD
At around 10:40pm, she said she felt liquid on her leg, and thought someone behind her had spilled a drink:
“At first I thought someone had spilt their drink on me, then I realised it was warm.

I looked up and saw this guy looking at me, doing up his fly and I realised he had urinated on me. I was in shock.”
The urine also hit the woman standing next to her, and Nolan said a few people around yelled at the man in question. However, the dickhead didn’t seem to think it was anything to make a big deal over:
“He just smirked and shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal.

It was weird, it was as though it was kind of like a bit of a minor inconvenience, as though it was normalised or something.

People thought it was bad, but they kept watching the gig.”
Belle’s friend grabbed security, who ejected the man from the premises. CCTV managed to capture his face in detail:
Nolan explained that despite it not being her fault, she still feels mortified:
“I felt really humiliated, I can’t really describe it. I know I haven’t done anything wrong, but I felt really embarrassed about it.”
She said she’s spoken out about the incident because it’s part of a larger societal issue of disrespect for women:
“I take it very seriously when someone whips out their penis in a public place and urinates on me.

It’s not seen to be a crime, but it actually is. I do think it happens more than is reported, even just talking about my story, other people have said, ‘oh that happened to me as well’.

We should be able to go out and enjoy a night with our friends without being groped, or harassed, or in this case, urinated on.”
Nolan has asked others who experience this kind of behaviour to report it to police.
Police have released the man’s image and description in order to find him: ‘Caucasian in appearance, 25 – 30 years of age, approx. 187 centimetres tall, medium build, dark eyes and short dark hair’.
He was clean shaven and wearing a purple shirt and dark coloured pants at the time.
If you recognise this scumbag, police request that you contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit crimestoppers.com.au.
