‘Melrose Place’ Star Heather Locklear Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

Melrose Place actress Heather Locklear was arrested on Sunday night for felony domestic violence and three counts of misdemeanour battery.

Police were called to her greater Los Angeles home after someone reported domestic violence. TMZ reports that her brother called 911 after seeing the actress and her boyfriend fighting at her Thousand Oaks home.

“She was extremely hostile and uncooperative and at one point became combative with the deputies,” Sergeant Eric Buschow told the LA Times.

Additional deputies were called after Locklear started trying to fight the officers. She physically resisted arrest, and was also booked for three misdemeanour counts of battery of a peace officer.

She “claimed an injury prior to our arrival,” continued Buschow, and was taken to hospital prior to being booked into Ventura County Jail in Ventura.

She’s posted $20,000 (AU $24,500) bail.

Locklear was previously arrested in 2008 on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The DUI was dismissed as part of a plea deal.

The LAPD was also dispatched to her then-boyfriend Jack Wagner’s home in 2011 after the two allegedly got physical with each other during a heated argument. Neither wanted to press charges against one another.
