Daryl Hannah Says She Had To Barricade A Door To Keep Harvey Weinstein Out

More and more actresses continue to come forward with stories about disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, with the latest being Kill Bill star Daryl Hannah, and star of The Hand That Rocks The Cradle Annabella Sciorra.

In an article by Ronan Farrow for the New Yorker, both actresses share their terrifying experiences with the producer.

Sciorra alleges that Weinstein violently raped her in the early 90s, forcing his way into her apartment and restraining her.

He shoved me onto the bed, and he got on top of me.” She says that he pinned her arms above her head and forced himself on her. “When he was done, he ejaculated on my leg, and on my nightgown.

Sciorra says that afterwards he attempted to perform oral sex on her, but by then, she was shaking so violently that “it looked like [she] was having a seizure“. Only then, she says, did he leave.

The event led to several years out of work; when Sciorra eventually returned to acting, she says Weinstein started to incessantly harass her, showing up to her hotel room to bang on the door. She told Farrow:

For nights after, I couldn’t sleep. I piled furniture in front of the door, like in the movies.

Daryl Hannah’s experience with Weinstein at the door is eerily similar. She says that he came to her hotel room as she was getting ready for bed and started knocking on the door.

It was sort of incessant, and then it started turning into pounding on my door.

She was so frightened that she left her room through another door and spent the night in her makeup artist’s room. She says that Weinstein reappeared in the same format the next night.

The knocking started again and again. And I was like, ‘Oh shit.’ We actually pushed a dresser in front of the door and just kind of huddled in the room.

The shocking extent of Weinstein’s alleged campaign of sexual terror against the women of Hollywood continues to be uncovered, as individuals come forward one by one to share their stories.
