Filmmaker Daniel Askill (interview here) is one of Australia’s most prolific, gifted and in-demand image makers and the subject of a new exhibition, Slow Work On A Bright Screen, to be held at The Grand Social’s new Darlinghurst retail space, Edition.
The exhibition, comprised of a tight selection of Askill’s video work (including recent commissions for These New Puritans, AnOther Magazine and the Sydney Dance Company) will also coincide with the launch of a new book focused on Askill’s vast portfolio of commercial and personal work. The exhibition will run from the 5th to the 26th of August at Edition, 214 Crown Street, Sydney. Askill’s book will also be available for purchase from the store.
