Budding female artists take note, Curvy’s second round of submissions for 2009 are now open!

Round two is open for 7 days only – no submissions will be considered after 28/2/2009.

YEN brings you an exhibition and book featuring 100 of the most exciting female graphic artists and illustrators in the world.

Your favourite annual ALL-GIRL art book, CURVY – created by the team behind YEN MAGAZINE – has been kicking up a creative storm since 2003 and we are now calling out for submissions for the 6th edition.

CURVY remains an international favourite amongst lovers of art and supporters of female artists. Each year the book features 100 of the most exciting female graphic designers and illustrators from over 20 countries around the world!

CURVY is a must for anyone passionate about graphic design and illustration that wants to be inspired by a new generation of outstanding female creative talent. Produced by YEN magazine – CURVY kicks off in April & consists of a cool limited edition book and a national event tour.

Submission Guidelines:

For consideration in the first round, please send a maximum of 3 JPGs of your work via email to curvy@ptmg.com.au

+ Total file size of the email (including your 3 pieces) not to exceed 1mb
+ Do not send multiple emails with multiple files. Pls send 1 email with 3 files maximum.
+ Please do not send links to your work – you must send files.
+ Please include your full name and contact details with your submission [address (including country), phone number and email].
+ When naming each file, use the naming system ‘First Name Last Name_1′ First Name Last name_2′ First name last Name_3’

DEADLINES:

Round Two Deadline: 28/2/2009 – Round two is open for 7 days only – no submissions will be considered after this date.

Round One Deadline: 20/2/2009 – Round One is now closed.

In the event you are selected for the shortlist you will be contacted by the organisers and hi res versions of your work will be requested.
