Cecil The Lion’s Killer Speaks, Is Unimpressed With Our Lack Of Humanity

Cecil The Lion‘s now infamous murderer, dentist Walter Palmer, is finally back on the grid.
The dentist took a month-long vacation, which he implied had absolutely nothing to do with the horrendous backlash he received after murdering a protected, dearly-loved animal.
Nope. It has nothing to do with it at all. Totally irrelevant that he’s universally hated, and people even graffitied and picketed his dentistry clinic.
But, he’s back, and he’s unimpressed with the general public’s lack of ‘humanity’ in regards to how his family have been treated:

“I don’t understand that level of humanity to come after people not involved at all.”

Which is very valid – his wife and daughter didn’t do the crime, and they don’t deserve to have any hatred directed their way. But oof… Palmer is pretty ballsy to use the word ‘humanity’. Hypocrisy, thy name is Walter.
Oh, and also – he wants everyone to know that he does have some regrets about what he did, but it was totally someone else’s fault:
“I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favourite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt. I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt.”
Sooo… it would have been totally fine to kill a lion who wasn’t collared, or a local favourite? Man, hindsight really is 20/20 on that one Walter – we can tell that you’ve really learned an important lesson from all of this. You truly are a changed man.
