You Can Help Drought-Affected Farmers By Grabbing A Bunnings Snag This Friday

If you’re in the mood for doing something good for the Aussie farmers that grow the food you eat while simultaneously jamming a delicious sausage in your mouth, you are in luck: Bunnings in NSW and the ACT are holding a bunch of sausage sizzles this Friday, with all proceeds going to Buy a Bale.

Buy a Bale is a campaign run by Rural Aid that focuses on delivering essentials like hay (duh) to drought-affected farmers. Parts of NSW and Queensland have been continuously in the grip of drought for as long as seven years, with 98% of NSW and around 66% of Queensland currently in drought or drought-affected, according to the ABC.

The sausage sizzles in NSW and the ACT will be happening from 9am to 4pm this coming Friday (the 3rd, that one), at all stores in the state and the territory respectfully.

If you’re in Queensland and you want to help out, you can drop into any Bunnings in the state next Friday, August 10th.

Don’t feel like a sausage or want to make your donation immediately? You can donate straight to Buy a Bale here and help keep food on your table and, more importantly, help out some people that really need it.
