A woman’s body has been discovered in a charity bin at a coastal suburb of the Gold Coast on Monday morning.
Nine News reports that the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found by a member of the public at around 7am Monday morning. Her body was found in a donation bin behind Stockland Burleigh Heads shopping centre, about 14km south of Surfers Paradise.
Police have established a crime scene and are currently investigating, but are currently not treating the death as suspicious and believe she may have climbed into the charity bin and gotten stuck. The woman is yet to be identified.
At the time of writing, local firefighters are working to dismantle the metal bin to retrieve the body so a coroner’s report can be made.
