David Leyonhjelm, the animated ballbag paid $200,000 a year in taxpayer money to be dumb as a motherfucker and smugger than Jesus, has continued his non-apology tour with an appearance on The Project in which he reiterated his belief that he’s done nothing wrong.
The senator is facing backlash for comments he made to Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young in parliament on Thursday last week, in which he told her to ‘stop shagging men’, following an address she gave regarding violence against women.
Leyonhjelm opened the interview by refusing to apologise and stating that he didn’t believe he had done anything wrong, before moving on to saying that he can’t specifically recall that Hanson-Young had said, but that it was to the effect of ‘all men are rapists’ – something denied by Hanson-Young and fellow senator Derryn Hinch. Conveniently, as Waleed Aly and Steve Price pointed out, the comments to which Leyonhjelm is referring weren’t recorded in the Hansard.
Leyonhjelm described Hanson-Young’s comments as ‘misandry’ and said that, while he can’t recall her wording, it was about the “context” that they were in and that it has something to do with (vagueness his, not ours) the Greens being a party of “collectivism” – one of the words I imagine he learnt while smashing his filthy hog to Ayn Rand‘s The Fountainhead.

Hanson-Young told the show that she was serious about taking action over Leyonhjelm’s comments and had sought legal advice.
