AirAsia Just Dropped Direct Flights From Gold Coast To Kuala Lumpur & You Could Score Free Tix

Gather ‘round, children for I have some truly great news. AirAsia has just dropped brand-spanking new direct flights from the Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur, which is not only a stunning destination in its own right, but also doubles as the literal gateway to the rest of Asia — with AirAsia flight paths through to Phuket, Kochi, Kuching, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila and more.

This is obviously stunning news, and comes just in time as we approach autumn and winter — honestly colder weather is fine in small doses but I’d much rather be on a flight to sunny Malaysia with a suitcase full of swimmers and hiking gear to explore some of the most stunning natural scenery on the planet. And of course, some nice clothes for exploring the bustling nightlife that is synonymous with Malaysia’s never-sleeping capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The new Gold Coast route joins a strong roster of direct flights from Australia to Kuala Lumpur via AirAsia with Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth already being super popular hubs.

The direct flights from Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur will be available starting on the 1st of April, and to kick things off AirAsia is slashing 20% off on all seats on all flights. And If you’re looking to travel in comfort and style, you can snap up some Flatbeds that will get you to KL feeling chill and refreshed — yet won’t leave a giant hole in your pocket. Nice.

To celebrate this new arrangement, AirAsia is holding a little competition that could see you — yes you — be one of the first to enjoy the new route courtesy of some free tix. Lovely innit?

If you live close to Gold Coast’s Pacific Fair shopping centre, head on over on the 2nd of April between 11am to 3pm for your chance to win some free tix.

But free tix aren’t the only draw, AirAsia will be putting on quite the party, with a live DJ, deck chairs, beach umbrellas, and a delicious selection of Malaysian food (yum).

The winner on the day will receive two return tickets to Kuala Lumpur* — so what are you waiting for? Your dream Malaysian adventure escape awaits.

*Tickets will include base fare, baggage allowance of 20kg and one meal per person per flight. The voucher does not include all relevant airport taxes and fees, insurance surcharge, service fee, fuel surcharge and travel insurance.
