Finally, after much grumbling and groaning from everyone below the age of 40, Uber is finally legal in South Australia.
No, not just Uber Taxi. Actual, legitimate Uber X. The cheap one!
Premier Jay Weatherill will hold a press conference today to announce this, and also to give details about the SA government’s response to an independent review of the taxi industry, which was finished in February.
We will update this story with all relevant information as it comes.
Uber will be available in the truly excellent state of SA from July 1st, 2016.
