Wolfmother Underwent Psychotherapy

According to the Sunday Sun Herald Wolfmother’s Andrew Stockdale along with original band members Myles Heskett and Chris Ross underwent Psychotherapy to avoid a break up. Obviously it didn’t work.

I was initially disturbed by this news until I realized that Psychotherapy and Electrotherapy aren’t interchangeable terms for the same thing. I quietly filed away my afro via electrocution joke and Googled Psychoterapy – a branch of Psychology that aims to increase the individual’s sense of their own well-being.

Basically the trio were asked to complete a self-assessment survey and when asked if “he would socialise at a party or stand in the corner” Stockdale’s response was: “I don’t like people, I don’t like music, I don’t like making music and I don’t like psychologists.” Well, what DO you like Andrew? There’s got to be more to life than Unicorns and epic Fantasy Fiction motifs, surely.

Anyway all that new-age nonsense was the last straw for Stockdale who then parted ways with Heskett and Ross soon thereafter. It sounds awfully familiar doesn’t it? The group therapy, unhappy band members and whiff of douche… perhaps some kind of wolf monster was lurking just beneath the surface.
