In occasion of his umpteenth parody album Mandatory Fun, Weird Al is releasing a video every day in the eight days prior to the album roll out. Previous targets have so far included two of the last year’s biggest songs, Robin Thicke’s anti-consent jam, ‘Blurred Lines’, and Pharrell’s overly saccharine ear worm, ‘Happy’. It makes perfect sense then that Lorde’s ‘Royals’ should be his next target. That, and both Yankovic and Ella Yelich O’Connor share the same follicular tendencies.
The FemBots, overt Illuminati symbolism, comedians Patton Oswalt, Tom Lennon, and Robert Ben Garant also feature.
