Last night in Melbourne U2 and Jay-Z kicked off the first leg of their Australian tour, and thanks to the wonders of camera phones and youtube we can all watch the moment when Jay joined Bono et al on stage to perform U2’s classic “Sunday Bloody Sunday”. Based on all reports, Bono kept his trademark between-song preaching to a minimum and let his singing do the talking. Even on the poor quality videos below the guy sounds phenomenal. And then there’s Jay-Z, who wore a pilot hat and chartered a jet plane of sweet rhymes into our hearts. Did I just write that? Yes I did too. I’m firing myself.
