Look, if you want to get around Kanye West’s Famous video and the waxy bosoms presented therein, you may as well just head here. We say that because BBC Radio 1‘s new take on the clip keeps the tune, the bed, the concept of celebrity… and not much else.
It’d be unbecoming of the UK‘s state-owned broadcaster to strip a slew of notable humans for our entertainment, and they know that. Instead, they cajoled Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Carly Rae Jepsen, Craig David and more to briefly roll around under the sheets.
Oh, instead of lying in serene repose, they also offer up some not-at-all obvious references to their work, so perhaps the UK was given a different version of the OG clip post-Brexit. What we’re getting at here is that maybe, just maybe, Yeezy’s take on the concept might have been more artistically adept.
