Drake is currently heading around the world on his ‘Boy Meets World’ tour, and last night, he stopped in Dublin.
That evening also happened to be the 29th birthday of Rihanna, Drake’s ex-girlfriend and the the woman who he declared his eternal love for at the MTV Video Music Awards last year. (Literally just thinking about that speech still gives us warm fuzzies, it was THE GODDAMN BEST.)
So, Drizzy – being the big ol’ romantic that he is – decided to dedicate a medley of tunes to darling angel Riri.
He told the Dublin audience,
“I wanna pay tribute tonight because it’s somebody’s birthday today—somebody that I’ve got a lot of love for and a lot of respect for.”
The audience already started cheering, knowing immediately who the rapper was talking about.
“We just gonna do this in Dublin tonight: Instead of singing happy birthday we’re going to set it off just like this.”
He then jumps straight in to ‘Work’ and telling the crowd, “We gotta sing this shit for Riri’s birthday right now, what’s up”:

He did a 3-piece medley of the songs he and Rih have collaborated on, follow up ‘Work’ with ‘Take Care’ and ‘Too Good’:
