WATCH: Dillon Francis Goes Mad Over A Spelling Error On His Platinum Record

Getting a platinum record sounds like it’d be a peak emotional time for an artist. All that hard work; the blood, the sweat, the tears. All that labour represented in a shiny platinum disc. A shining symbol of your worth as an artist and a human being.

So you can imagine you’d be pretty pissed if it had a spelling error. And not even on your name! Your name you could understand, if not endorse. American DJ and moombahton pioneer Dillon Francis recently copped a platinum record for his single ‘Get Low’ which misspelt ‘Certification’ as ‘Certificatoin’.
He took it well:
There’s some guy at the RIAA absolutely sweatin’ right now, I’m sure of it.
