“Chrome’s On It” is the second video from “Dance Mother” the debut LP of Brooklyn duo Telepathe.
In the vein of fellow Brooklynites Gang Gang Dance, Telepathe expertly blend tribal ritualism with electronic textures to create a hypnotic brand of avant-pop that is weird enough to warrant repeat listens and accessible enough to get bodies in motion. Second single “Chrome’s On It” is no exception with an intro that sounds like the dreamy descent into a K-Hole before clearing to two-part harmonies, pitch shifted synths and chanted mantras, signs and symbols. Sublime stuff.
