Triple J Reveals New Fully Female Line-Up For International Women’s Day

National youth broadcaster Triple J is once again celebrating International Women’s Day tomorrow, Thursday the 8th of March, with their Girls To The Front initiative and have just dropped the extremely good dude-free lineup of what to expect.

Brekky boys Ben & Liam, Drive co-host Lewis Hobba and Hack’s Tom Tilley are all taking a hike for the day with dynamic duo Sally & Erica, Weekends warrior Karla Ranby and journo extraordinare Alice Matthews instead jumping in behind the mics.

Freshly installed Mornings host Linda Marigliano and endlessly talented beam of pure sunlight Bridget Hustwaite on Good Nights also feature in their usual spots. Check the full lineup below:

In addition to females fronting the day’s programming, behind the scenes the jays will also be shining the spotlight on women with Assistant Music Director Gemma Pike taking the reigns and programming female voices galore and inviting such musicians as Alex Lahey, Amy Shark, Gordi, Meg Mac and more in to chat.

Sister stations Triple J Unearthed and Double J will also ditch the blokes for the day, full deets of which you can find on their wrap-up here.

Huge kudos to the Triple J team for once again fully engaging with a very important event such as International Women’s Day by elevating as many non-male voices as possible. If the current climate proves anything it’s that women continue to be under-represented in many, many industries and initiatives like this are one great way to further the conversation about fixing that the hell up.

Oh and blokes, if you want to be a huge pissy whiny baby and complain about this one day event, International Men’s Day is November 19. Oh and also:
