Top Ten Songs Of 2010: LifeWITHBird

As 2010 draws to a close we reflect on the year’s most memorable moments and, as always, the albums that characterized the year through good times and bad. To do just that, Pedestrian’s Top Ten Of 2010 series taps a savvy selection of friends, bands, bloggers and other people with admirable taste to give us their favourite songs and albums of the year. Nick and Bridget from local label LIFEwithBIRD came up with their top ten songs for the year, based on what’s been on their playlist in the studio…

1. Broken Bells- The High Road – “Could leave this on repeat and still love it.”
2. Groove Armada- Just for Tonight – “The perfect driving song.”
3. Florence and the Machine cover of ‘Addicted to Love’ – “I love this version. It’s so rare to find a cover that stands up to the original and Florence nails it.”
4. Tame Impala – ‘It is Not Meant to Be’
5. The Bamboos- 4: You Ain’t No Good.
6. Massive Attack- Heligo Land: ‘Paradise Circus’ – “An amazing track by one of my favourite all time bands.”
7. Ratatat- LP4: ‘Neckbrace’ – “Best dance track of the year if you’re willing to cut loose.”
8. Flight Facilities- ‘Crave You’ – “All the ladies to the floor!”
9. Mark Ronson- “Anything on the ‘Mark Ronson and the Beat International’ but love love love ‘Somebody to Love me’”
10. Angus and Julia Stone – Down the Way (extended version) ‘All the Colours’ or ‘Draw your Swords’ – “An absolutely incredible album cover to cover but these two are my favourites”
