To coincide with a mammoth 33 date tour victory lap around America (supported by Givers, Jonti, Missy Higgins and Chairlift), Gotye will drop a brand new compilation of the ten ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ remixes which least made him want to kill himself. The album will feature an eclectic list of contributors including a definite genre of human called the impossibly young London producer (Gang Colours), the under appreciated hometown guy (Tim Shiel aka Faux Pas) and the Dutch cocaine monster who once played to 350,000 people and said that “trance music is the only music you can listen to without taking drugs” (Tiesto). We appreciate the song’s commercial success and its cultural impact but to be the bridge between Faux Pas and Tiesto might be its most remarkable achievement yet. Real talk.
