Thom Yorke & DOOM Announce Collaboration

A titanic collaboration has been announced overnight – DOOM (MF DOOM, Madvillian, Danger Doom) and Thom Yorke (Thom Yorke) will begin “working on some duet songs and shit”. Can you guess which of the two that quote came from?

In a recent interview with 3D World DOOM said “I’m doing some stuff with Thom Yorke… we’re working on some duets, some duet songs and shit. Just like preliminary shit but we’ll probably end up doing a whole record together… he’s cool-he got a lot of ill ass ideas and shit, you know.”

Earlier this week Yorke announced, then premiered, two tracks in collaboration with Four Tet and Burial. Who needs band mates right? Yorke remixed DOOM’s 2009 track ‘Gazzillion Ear’ but we’re hoping for more than a few Radiohead inspired ambient pads this time round. More news as it arises.

DOOM touches down in Oz next week for his first ever tour of the country.
