Monochromatic, lo-fi Brits The xx have revealed the details behind their upcoming sophomore album ‘Coexist‘, the follow-up long-player to 2009’s self-titled debut which received universal acclaim from everyone, everywhere. The following message was published this morning on The Facebooks:

We’re so excited to share with you the news that our second record ‘Coexist’ will be released on September 10th (11th in the US). After a long time on the road, we took a break, created our own studio and wrote these new songs that we’re so looking forward to playing to you. We will be touring throughout the summer and beyond, and hope to play somewhere near you soon. xx The xx

Coexist is set for Australian release on September 7th through Remote Control. The following demo recorded whilst creating the new album. Below that are five new songs recorded at various live performances in London over the past weeks. Such an xx day today, y’all.
