The preternatural wonder that is The Knife’s frontwoman, Karin Dreijer Andersson, is going off on her lonesome with her newly found live band under the moniker of “Fever Ray”
“I had so many songs to record that I just had to make an album… My aim was to finish the album and now that it’s done I’m a bit restless. During the last few years I discovered that I like to sing too, so I hope that my newly-found live band will make it to the stages next year. We are rehearsing and building something beautiful and brilliant.”
What will it sound like? There’s one taste on her myspace, a little instrumental with some moans on the end. I’m feeling that it might be a darker take on her old band Honey Is Cool.
Fever Ray’s debut LP will be out on March 23.
