The Horrors, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Beirut, Adam Green, Chester French, Mika and Golden Slivers are some talented fellows. They’ve got musical talent obviously, but they’re also “good talent” as in good/interesting looking enough to grace the pages of Vogue for a rock-inspired photo shoot…and not a skinny tie in sight!
The images were shot by Steven Meisel for Vogue’s January issue and take the bands’ sartorial staples and add a few zeros. You know, The Horrors = Black, Vampire Weekend = Preppy, MGMT = Wacky Colours. It’s pretty much the only time young, blogatastic bands can dress like peacocks and blame it on someone else.
