The Dead Weather Stream New Album Live

Set your alarms sports fans because from 8am tomorrow (Tuesday the 4th of May), The Dead Weather will be streaming a live performance of their sophomore album “Sea Of Cowards” in its entirety. The performance will be recorded at Jack White’s Third Man Records headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee then streamed live from the official Dead Weather Myspace page.

When we caught up with White last month he expressed some reticence toward live videos, but we suspect this subsides if he has full control over the direction: “With the internet when you play a song live it’s on YouTube the next morning and people can use that to compare it to the studio recording very quickly and we didn’t used to have that opportunity as a fan so it’s territory they have to consider like when you put something out there, you risk giving them something to compare it to.”

The Dead Weather’s “Sea Of Cowards” is slated for a May 7th release.
