Later this year, much like a graceful giraffe giving birth, Taylor Swift will squat demurely and drop a beautiful, perfectly-formed new album on the world from a height of approximately 6 feet.
This means you can expect to see a lot more of Taylor Swift on the internet in the coming months, in videos such as this one, recorded as a promo for an upcoming appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
In it, Swift assumes the character of an intense weirdo called Natalie, who … I don’t even know, just watch.
Presumably, Natalie will be appearing on Fallon’s segment Ew!, where he dresses in drag and pals around with the likes of Channing Tatum. The video, however, poses more questions than it answers.
Is Natalie a thing now? Is this what Taylor Swift does all day in her Connecticut compound? Does she make Lena Dunhan and Karlie Kloss conduct entire conversations with her in character? How long until the Natalie backlash, then the backlash to the backlash?
This is all too much.
