Stream Radiohead ‘The King of Limbs’

By now, Radiohead purists have digested the short LP, chopped it into pieces, told us what they like and what they think could have been ameliorated. Many are suggesting it is a small fragment of a much larger body of work, due to be released in segments over time.

The band has been a prolific marketing force over recent years. By identifying kinks in the music industry chain they’ve created new and innovative ways to engage the consumer. This time around they’ve instilled some nostalgia in the buyers by releasing the world’s first “newspaper album”, with the artwork coming in broadsheet newspaper format. Two 10 inch vinyl records encompass the physical release, while a basic digital download makes sure no shopper is excluded.

In true philanthropic style, Radiohead have made the record available for downloaded, free of charge, on the KROQ website.

For the first single “Lotus Flower” Radiohead have already released the video, featuring a dancing Thom Yorke. This rarely-exposed playful side of Yorke’s personality has evidently struck a chord with fans resulting in a throng of spin-offs, as simple as they are effective and stupid.
