So Apparently The Maccas ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ Jingle Was Written By Pusha T

In very confusing news, it has this morning emerged that rapper Pusha T wrote the McDonald’s ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ jingle.
You know the one – “Ba dup ba ba ba – I’m lovin’ it!”. It’s very catchy, and was used all over the world, in a range of different adverts aired in loads of countries.
This guy was one of ’em:
(This was apparently a global advert, which no one in the PEDESTRIAN.TV office ever remembers seeing here in Australia.)
This news surfaced after Steve Stoute – a former record industry exec and current CEO of marketing firm Translation – did an interview with Hot 97‘s Ebro Darden
He spoke about one of his previous major jobs, which was launching the McDonald’sI’m Lovin’ It’ campaign.
Delving deeper into a simpler time when Maccas relied on that delightful 3-word slogan rather than brioche buns and Gruyère cheese, Darden attributed the jingle to Pharrell Williams (it was thought to written by him and Justin Timberlake for years). Stoute swiftly corrected him:

“No, you know who did that?! Pusha T. That’s CRAZY that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald’s ‘I’m Lovin It.’”
You can watch it below, the admission is around the 4 minute mark:
