For those who want to get slingshotted straight back into late 90s/early 00s in a single day, Scene & Heard Festival has pretty much everything you need.

With a lineup featuring international and Aussie alt-rock legends like The Dandy Warhols, Jebediah, Magic Dirt, Gyroscope, Magic Dirt, Wolfmother, and a whole heap more, it’s like a Hottest 100 compilation your older brother/sister burnt you when you were nine. No? Just me? Ok.
Scene & Heard Fest has expanded in its second year, now hitting both Brisbane and Cairns as well as its home in Newcastle, through late October and early November to really heat up the lead-in to summer.
The lineups for each date differ slightly, with some acts playing on in Queensland, and others exclusively playing Newy, but I’m 100% sure that every gig is going to be a mammoth singalong.
The festival goes on sale from 9am, Wednesday June 12, and festival members can cop pre-sales from 9am, Tuesday June 11 through the festival’s website.
Fear not if you can’t make it up north for the shows, because The Dandy Warhols have also announced a run of headline dates around the country to celebrate their 25th anniversary – lord knows you’ve gotta get the most out of trip down under.
