In a bid to stimulate Sydney’s artistic centre and raise some much-needed funds, FBi Radio will stage a one-off charity art auction early next month.
The auction-cum-exhibition will launch at the MCA, Friday 3 July, and will feature more than 30 local artistic talents. The diverse mix, covering visual arts, photography, fashion and design, will aim to promote local talent as well as encouraging further collaboration between artists and the FBi community.
A spectacular opening night will bring together the very best of Sydney’s artistic community with gallery-owners, collectors, artists and fashion designers, all converging for this worthy cause. The art will be auctioned on the night across a broad range of prices in order to ensure accessibility and great opportunities for guests wanting to break into Sydney’s thriving art scene. Following the gala night the works will be exhibited at the MCA all day Saturday (entry is free) as well as online, where a number of the pieces will be open to the public to bid on throughout the week.
