Roland S. Howard Earns Posthumous Independent Music Award Nod

Currently in it’s fifth year, the Jagermeister Independent Music Awards returns this October to celebrate the best in independent Australian music across genres as diverse as blues and roots, hip hop, punk, country, dance and more. The field is particularly strong this year with nominees for the award’s most coveted gong, “Best Independent Album”, including Cloud Control’s Bliss Release, Dan Kelly’s Dan Kelly’s Dream, Dan Sultan’s Get Out While You Can, Eddy Current Suppression Ring’s Rush To Relax, Sia’s We Are Born and a posthumous nod to Rowland S Howard’s Pop Crimes.

Dan Sultan and Cloud Control headed up nominations with 3 nods each. The Jezebels and Eddy Current Supression Ring each picked up 2. Nominees are as follows:
