Rihanna Ups The ‘Anti’, Reveals #R8 Cover Art

Right when the world needs it most, Rihanna comes through.

The artwork for Rihanna’s eighth full length – reportedly titled ANTI – was revealed today at the MAMA gallery in L.A; painted by Israeli artist Roy Nachum, the artwork features a young girl, blindfolded by a crown set on a stark red-and-white backdrop. It will also be the first time a physical album cover incorporates Braille.
The work prompted Rihanna herself to say “this is my favourite album cover I’ve ever done.” While the heavy symbolism will give something RiRi fans to chew on in the wake of her singles FourFiveSeconds, BBHMM and American Oxygen, the newy doesn’t have a release date yet.
Collaborators have been hyping up for record for a minute. Ne-Yo said:
“The stuff I’ve heard is absolutely incredible. I can’t speak on what it sounds like because I’ll get in trouble, but I definitely feel like people are gonna enjoy it. Anybody that’s a Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan, and anybody that’s not might become a Rihanna fan.”
