Has the Barbadian Barbie developed cannibalistic tendencies and eaten a piece of everyone’s favourite Sri Lankan freedom fighter?
Of course not. Rihanna would never do such a thing, and I’m sure she doesn’t even eat that much anyway. She has however, covered M.I.A’s “Paper Planes” at a recent live performance and you know what they say – imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
Rihanna is of course no stranger to covers with her ubiquitous ‘Umbrella’ spawning a veritable army of acoustic covers by youtube users which were almost universally shit house. I can’t decide which I like better, Rihanna in gun-toting mode (air gun I might add) or ‘lights and music are on my mind’ mode.
