Radiohead Back In The Studio ‘Rehearsing and Recording’ New Album In September

Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has confirmed the band will start work on a new album in September.
The band has been on a hiatus since 2011’s The King Of Limbs while its members pursue solo projects: Thom Yorke with Atoms For Peace, Phil Selway‘s solo album and Jonny Greenwood’s own foray into classical music
Earlier this year he speculated on the band’s ninth album saying that the “slow moving animal” that is Radiohead would gain life in later months.
Now he’s told BBC 6Music‘s Mary Anne Hobbs “We’re going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it’s sounding.”
Depending on how productive those sessions are, we could have a new album… anytime after September, really. They love surprising people, after all.
