Queensland Police Constable Busted With Drugs At Stereosonic, Quits Force

Well, this is interesting. Various sources are reporting today that a North Queensland police constable has quit the force, allegedly after being caught in a drug bust at the Brisbane leg of Stereosonic.
The woman, aged 26, was one of 130 caught with drugs at last weekend’s event. She is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrate’s Court on January 5. In a brief statement, Queensland Police Service indicated that they won’t be issuing any official reprimand, saying:
“The officer will not be subject of a disciplinary investigation concerning allegations of misconduct due to her resignation,”

ABC News report that 20 people were hospitalised with suspected drug reactions after the Brisbane leg of Stereosonic this year, although there were no fatalities.
Two people – 19-year-old Adelaide man Stefan Woodward, and 25-year-old Sydney woman Sylvia Choi – died of suspected drug overdoses at this year’s Stereosonic events.
A man has been charged with drug supply in relation to Choi, who reportedly took a ‘Yellow Snapchat’ pill at the festival.
