Peter Gabriel and Hot Chip have covered Vampire Weekend’s “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” a track which funnily enough references Gabriel himself. I’m sure the post modernism isn’t lost on Vampire Weekend because they’re Columbia grads and wear argyle and shit but my brain is about to explode. It’s like a Charlie Kaufman script in song form.
The offending line? “But this feels so unnatural, Peter Gabriel too.”
